What we do, and how.
Laser engraving uses a focused beam to vaporize a thin top layer of material — leaving a permanent mark on wood, acrylic, anodized metal, stone, or marble. Engraving doesn't cut through; it darkens or removes the surface in your pattern. We also do laser marking — a shallow surface line or score that does not cut through — on any material we cut.
What we engrave on
Wood, acrylic, leather, paper, cork, anodized metal, stone, marble, and slate. Bring your own items — awards, plaques, equipment, gifts, tools — or we supply material.
Detail you can expect
Logos, names, photos, fine line work, intricate detail. Vector for cut paths; raster (PNG, JPG) for engraved photos. We adjust depth and dot density to suit each material.
Pricing & turnaround
No engraving surcharge — engraving is quoted together with your cut, $65 minimum. Combined with cutting in one setup. 3 to 5 business days standard; next-business-day rush available.

Common questions
Can you engrave on items I bring in?
Yes. Awards, plaques, cutting boards, leather goods, equipment, tools, gifts. Email us first if you're not sure the item is compatible — we'll confirm it's safe to engrave before you bring it in.
How deep does the engraving go?
Depends on the material. Acrylic engraves clean and frosty. Wood engraves with visible depth. Anodized metal ablates the coating to reveal contrast underneath. Stone and marble get a low-contrast white mark. We adjust depth based on what you're after.
What's the difference between cutting and engraving?
Cutting goes all the way through the material. Engraving and marking only work the surface — engraving darkens or removes a thin layer for logos and photos, and marking lays down a shallow line or score. Many projects use more than one. For example, an acrylic award is cut to shape, then engraved with names and dates.
Do you charge extra for engraving on top of cuts?
No. Same machine, same setup, no engraving surcharge. Engraving time is included in the project quote.
What file formats do you accept?
AI, DXF, or PDF — vector files only. Convert text to outlines before exporting. PDF is usually the safest export.
