Production deadlines do not move. We work that way.

You need a hero prop on Monday, the script changed Thursday, and the reshoot is Friday. We have been cutting for productions in LA for a decade — set dressing, on-camera signs, hero props, costume armor, quick rebuilds. Real laser-cut acrylic and wood, real foam armor, NDA signed if you need it.

What we make.

Hero props & on-screen signage

On-camera signs, fake newspaper headers, period documents, prop electronics faceplates, custom labels, branded prop packaging, futuristic UI panels, and the little details that the camera lingers on.

Costume armor & accessories

EVA foam armor for hero costumes, mat-board mock-ups, layered acrylic accessories, prop badges and IDs, masks, and crown / helmet bases. Cosplay-grade builds welcome.

Set pieces & dressing

Architectural panels, faux trim, wall logos for set storefronts, period signage, control panel faceplates, miniature set pieces, and prop signage that needs to read at distance.

Quantity runs

Twenty of the same prop, fifty of the same badge, two hundred of the same packaging insert. We batch-cut so every unit on screen is identical.

Last-minute rebuilds

Script changed, prop broke, reshoot tomorrow. Send the file and we will tell you what is doable. Rush is normal for us — productions are most of what we do.

NDA-protected projects

Unreleased show art, prototype props, unreleased branded packaging. We sign yours or use a mutual NDA before we open the file.

Materials.

Stocked in DTLA. Bring your own if you have a specific look in mind.

Acrylic

Cast acrylic 1/8″ and 1/4″ — clear, frosted, mirror, black, white, color. Edge-lit signage and faux UI panels read incredibly well on camera.

Wood & plywood

Walnut, maple, Baltic birch in 1/8″ and 1/4″. Period signage, set trim, and faux storefront builds.

EVA foam & mat board

EVA foam (1/4″ to 1/2″) for costume armor and padded pieces. Mat board and chipboard for set dressing mock-ups and architectural details.

What we will not cut

No PVC, vinyl, polycarbonate, ABS, fiberglass, or carbon fiber — those release toxic fumes when lasered. If you are not sure about a material, email first.

How to order.

Send the file, the deadline, and a quick note on what is needed — we quote, usually within a business day.

Email americanlaserco@gmail.com with your piece type (hero prop, set dressing, costume armor, etc.), material, quantity, dimensions, your shoot or call-time date, and your file (AI, DXF, or PDF). Need an NDA signed first? Say so in the email — we send ours, or sign yours, before we open the file. Or start on the quote page.

Common questions.

Can you turn around overnight?

Often yes — rush is built into how we work because production schedules need it. Tell us the call time and we will tell you what is doable.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. We sign yours or use a mutual NDA template before we open any files. Common for prototype props, unreleased branded work, and unreleased show art.

Can you make 50 or 100 of the same prop?

Yes — quantity runs are most of what we do for productions. Same prop, batch-cut, every unit identical.

What is the turnaround?

Standard orders run 3 to 5 business days. Next-business-day rush is built into how we work for productions.

Can you cut PVC, vinyl, or sintra?

No. Those release chlorine gas when lasered and are not laser-safe. Stick to acrylic, wood, EVA foam, and mat board.

Are you experienced with productions?

Disney, Warner Bros, NASA JPL, Mattel, Red Bull, and the U.S. Army are among our regular clients. We know production timelines and how to ship to a stage address.

Start your production project.

Send the file or your shot list and we will quote it.
