We have cut commercially in Los Angeles for over ten years. A session is a live one-on-one video call — or in person — with someone who runs production daily, not a script reader. We skip the basics you can get on YouTube and spend the time on your exact setup.
What we cover.
Every session is shaped around your skill level and your machine. Common ground we work through:
Vector & raster setup
Importing DXF, AI, SVG, and image files correctly — and fixing open nodes that stop your laser from firing.
Layers & cut order
Sequencing engrave-then-cut so parts do not shift or drop out of focus mid-job.
Power & speed
Finding the real settings for your wattage across acrylic, wood, leather, and more.
Kerf offset
Compensating for beam width so press-fit boxes, inlays, and joints fit without glue.
Photo engraving
DPI, interval, and dithering (Jarvis, Stucki) for clean engraves on wood, slate, and acrylic.
Production features
Print & Cut, camera alignment, arrays for batch runs, and rotary attachments for tumblers.

Same trainer either way. Bring your own files.
Remote — $99/hr
A live one-on-one video call with screen sharing. Available anywhere in the US, any time zone. Train on your own machine in your own shop.
In-studio — $120/hr
Hands-on at our Downtown LA facility with a real machine in front of you. Ideal for first-timers and new-machine walkthroughs. By appointment.

If it runs LightBurn or a Ruida controller, we can train you on it — including OMTech, Boss Laser, Thunder Laser, Aeon, Monport, Gweike, Cloudray, xTool, Bodor, Laguna, and Full Spectrum.

Is it live or pre-recorded?
Live, one-on-one, every time — a real video call focused entirely on your files and your machine.
Can I bring my own files?
Yes — that is the point. Bring the projects and problems you are stuck on and we work them live on your screen.
What does it cost?
Remote is $99/hr nationwide. In-studio in Downtown LA is $120/hr. Both are private one-on-one with the same trainer.
What will it not cover?
