Paper, cut to fine detail

A laser cuts paper and cardstock to a level of detail scissors and dies cannot reach — fine filigree, sharp corners, and clean interior cut-outs. It works across cardstock, cardboard, chipboard, and matboard for invitations, packaging, models, and decorative pieces.

Paper, board and scoring for folds

A CO₂ laser cuts the full paper family — text-weight paper, cardstock, bristol, kraft, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, and matboard or museum board — to a crisp edge, holding detail far finer than a blade or die. It is a non-contact tool, so even delicate, lace-like artwork keeps its shape.

Beyond cutting through, the laser can score — a shallow surface line that folds cleanly — which is how pop-up cards, gift boxes, and packaging nets are made. Send vector files at 1:1 scale, map cut and score to different colors, and keep small connecting bridges where thin webs would otherwise tear.

Common questions

How much does laser-cut paper cost?

Every job has a $65 minimum and a clear itemized quote, priced by material, cut time, and quantity, with no setup fees.

Can you cut cardboard and chipboard?

Yes — cardstock, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, matboard, and museum board all cut cleanly. Chipboard is popular for packaging prototypes and models.

Will the edges be burnt?

Edges come out clean. Some papers take a very faint toasted line; we tune settings to keep it minimal and can mask delicate stock.

Can you score fold lines?

Yes — a score folds cleanly without cutting through. Map cut and score to different colors in your file and we run both in one pass.

Can I bring my own paper or board?

Yes — bring your own laser-safe stock and we do not mark it up. Foil or plastic-laminated paper is not laser-safe; send a sample if unsure.
