What we do, and how.
A laser cutter is a beam of light that burns clean lines through material. We run four CO₂ lasers — the right kind for acrylic, wood, leather, fabric, paper, foam, and rubber. CO₂ lasers don't cut metal.
What we cut
Acrylic, plywood, hardwoods, leather, fabric, paper / cardstock, foam, EVA foam, cork, mylar, and laser-safe rubber. Customer-supplied materials welcome — bring it in if you are not sure it is safe.
How we cut
Four industrial CO₂ lasers. Vector files (AI, DXF, or PDF) only. Tight tolerances on press-fit work. Cuts, scores, and engraves combined in one pass — mapped by color in your file.
Capacity
Largest bed: 46 by 58 inches. Secondary bed: 34 by 46 inches. Tile multi-piece designs for larger work. 3 to 5 business days standard; next-business-day rush available.

Laser marking & scoring
Laser marking and scoring.
Laser marking and scoring put a shallow line or mark on the surface — they do not cut all the way through. It works on any material we cut: wood, acrylic, leather, paper, and more. Common uses are fold lines, part numbers, light surface detail, and decorative depth. We mark and score in the same pass as cutting and engraving, by mapping operations to colors in your file.
What it's for
Fold lines for boxes and packaging, score-and-snap perforations, tear-away strips, decorative line work, assembly alignment marks, model-kit fold lines.
Materials
Acrylic, plywood, hardwoods, leather, paper, cardstock, and most laser-safe sheet materials. Score depth is tuned to your material and intent.
How to set it up
Map score lines to a separate color in your AI, DXF, or PDF (red is the convention for cut, blue for score). Combined with cutting and engraving in one machine pass.
Large-format cutting
Large format — beds up to 46 by 58 inches.
Most LA laser shops top out around 24 by 36 inches. Our largest bed handles material up to 46 by 58 inches — a single piece, no tiling for most architectural panels, signs, and displays. Larger than that, we tile multi-piece designs with hidden seams.
What it's for
Architectural display panels, full-sheet signage, large set pieces for film and TV, large topographic models, retail display backers, oversized art, multi-piece installations.
Capacity
Largest bed: 46 by 58 inches. Secondary bed: 34 by 46 inches. Acrylic and plywood up to 1/4″, plus all other laser-safe materials. Customer-supplied for full-sheet work.
Tiling larger work
For work that exceeds 46 by 58 inches, we tile multi-piece designs cleanly with hidden seams. Send your file scaled 1:1 and we confirm fit before quoting.

Common questions
Will the cut edges be smooth?
Acrylic comes out clean and clear. Wood has a slight char (we can sand on request). Leather and fabric edges are sealed by the heat. Paper is clean.
How thick can you cut?
Up to 1/4" on acrylic, plywood, hardwoods, cork, cardboard. Up to 1/8" on leather and rubber. Up to 1" on EVA foam and craft foam. See the materials reference for the full chart.
Can I bring my own material?
Yes, if it's laser-safe. We won't cut PVC, polycarbonate, MDF, ABS, Delrin, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or polystyrene — toxic fumes or machine damage. If you're unsure, email us before bringing it in and we'll confirm.
Do you cut metal?
No. CO₂ lasers can mark or engrave coated and anodized metal, but they can't cut through bare metal. For metal cutting, you'll need a fiber laser or waterjet.
What's the smallest detail you can cut?
It depends on the material and design. Very fine details may not survive the cut — material between closely-spaced cuts can fall apart. We'll flag any too-fine details in your file before we quote.
