Common questions
Do I need laser-cutting experience?
No. First-time users complete a one-time orientation as part of the 2-hour first session. We'll show you how to load files, set power and speed, run the machine, and stay safe.
What software do you use?
LightBurn. If you're new to it, you can learn during your sessions or book a remote LightBurn intro ($120/hr) to get up to speed before your first booking.
Can I bring my own material?
Yes, as long as it's laser-safe. Same list as our cutting service: no PVC, polycarbonate, MDF, ABS, Delrin, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or polystyrene. Email us if you're unsure about a material before bringing it in.
What if I'm not done in my booked time?
We try to extend if the next slot is open. If it's not, you book another session. Plan generously — first cuts always take longer than people expect.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. All rental sessions are by appointment, Mon–Fri 11 to 5. Easier on you and on us — guarantees a machine is free when you show up.
